As part of my research for future books in The Faery Tales series, I’ve been looking into the animals associated with the 12 signs of the Chinese Zodiac. Each animal sign has a different personality, and depending on which one you were born under, this can give us insight into how we relate with each other, most importantly in matters of love. Using a simple birth year table to work out which animal you are, you can then do the same for your family and friends, and discover how you are likely to behave around one another. There are lots of books available on the subject and you can find plenty of information online too. It tells you who is most likely to bring you happiness, who will make you angry or sad, and who is your perfect match in a romantic relationship.
So I’m a ‘Goat’, sometimes referred to as a ‘Sheep’. Not the most exciting animal, I know! Especially when my most favourite animal, the horse, is on there. Grrrrr! Anyway, when I started looking into this concept, I was really quite blown away by how startlingly accurate it is!
No matter how nice we try hard to be to everyone in life, there are always going to be those people who we just can’t seem to get along with, no matter what. When I looked at the sign of one of these said people, the ‘Rooster’, I learned that Goat and Rooster are just not really a good match at all, and if they embark upon a relationship together, it is likely to end in disaster. Well it did, but goodness, I wish I had known my Chinese Love signs before hand as I could have saved myself a lot of time, effort and heartache in advance!
On the flip side, I then looked up the outcomes for someone I absolutely adore, and found that this relationship was the best one possible for me. Our animals very naturally compliment each other, leading to a perfectly suited relationship!
So it just goes to show you. I reckon I’m a total believer in this stuff now. Why don’t you give it a go? Find out what animal you are and start testing it on the people in your life. Make sure you drop me a line and let me know how you get on 🙂 Peace, love and sunshine sparkles. xoxo
