Penistone Living

I have just come off the telephone from speaking to Alicia, a lovely lady who works at a magazine called ‘Penistone Living.’ Penistone is a small town set in a beautiful countryside location between Sheffield and Barnsley in South Yorkshire. I’ve lived here and in the surrounding areas for most of my life and in a lot of ways, these locations are like the village of Steeple where the Faery Tales series is set.

Anyway, what with me being a local girl and all, the magazine asked if they can run a feature on me to go in the next edition. Obvs’ I jumped at the chance, and I’ve just completed a half hour interview all about ‘The Faery Tale of Rosie Quartz’ and my inspirations for writing it. It was a lot of fun. I mean, what girl doesn’t enjoy talking about herself! 😉

We chatted about my Mind, Body, Spirit obsession and my daily practises of yoga and meditation. I reminisced about my work as an actress and singer, before I became a Performing Arts teacher in a secondary school. So now I can’t wait for the article to go to publication and I’ll be sure to share it with you on here when it does.

They are sending a photographer round next week to take some accompanying images. And that’s just reminded me: I better make sure I mow my lawn in advance! My back garden currently looks more like a jungle than a faery paradise! Glitter filled wishes and sparkly pink lip-gloss kisses xxx
